Smile for the camera

Well here we are starting a whole new decade, and the world has changed so much in the past few years. I don’t even know where to begin. It never ceases to amaze me just how much things can alter from one day to the next.

So far the last few years has seen the first black president, the death of the space shuttle, the birth of the Google Broadband initiative, Must Glee TV, and of course a new season of American Idol. What other surprises will 2010 hold in store for us? Only time will tell.

As for Jill and I, things have been pretty quiet for once. No major injuries, no surprise evictions, no major money troubles, not even a lost job…. OH wait, yeah, there was that one thing….

Jill started working for West almost 5 years ago. In November the company closed it’s doors due to that whole economic crash thing. Anyway Jill was able to find work with the West @ Home program and she did quite well with it. She is still with the program and is enjoying it very much.

As for me and my career, I am doing quite well. I have been able to find steady if not ubondent work, and the bills are getting paid. Not much beyond the bills but at least we have a roof over our head, four wall around us, and food on our table. Who could ask for anything more?
