Logo Development
There are many ways to approach logo development. Some companies offer pre-designed logos that you pay to have personalized. Others provide custom designed logos with extensive use of original artwork. Some charge as low as $199 and promise several submissions created by a team of artists. Then others charge thousands of dollars for their design services. There is much ambiguity from one company to the next, offering consumers little explanation regarding the design process and the use of intellectual property. When comparing prices you need to take the following into consideration:
- Are they going to offer me good service?
- Will I be able to trust that they will deliver what they promise?
- Who will own the intellectual property rights?
- Is the price for a custom logo going to include original artwork or consist merely of artistically enhanced existing font art?
At VotaIT we like to keep it simple whenever possible. Therefore, we offer two types of logos:
Basic Logo
A Basic Logo is ideal for those seeking an affordable alternative for something that will pass as a professional logo. Basic logos are primarily (if not entirely), constructed of graphically enhanced existing font art. Since there is little of what we call “intellectual property,” we can offer a lower hourly rate option without charging a premium. With Basic logos, we do not feel we are offering a truly inventive work of art that ranks with logos that excel towards achieving “brand recognition.”
Premier Logo
For those looking for a truly unique logo and require brand recognition – this is the right option. A premium is included because Premier logos typically include “intellectual property,” which in the design world can refer to any creative design, but with us means inventive application. With basic logos, we mostly use our time and skill to make a nice looking logo, but with Premier logos, we attempt to develop inventive ways to make the logo emulate the idealism and uniqueness of the company . Therefore, in addition to including more intensive design application, Premier logos involve more planning and think-tank works.
