Apostle: Elmer D. Martin

Apostle Elmer D. Martin

The man of integrity, Rev. Elmer D. Martin, was called to the ministry at the age of six.  He had a spiritual encounter of the Holy Spirit, when his spirit left his body and then returned.  He was born in Warren, Arkansas on November 6th, 1934.  God began to deal with him in a very special way.

Rev. Elmer D. Martin has been in the ministry since 1971 when he was ordained under the Independent Assemblies of God, International.  Rev. Martin was under strong teaching and leadership with the Church of God in Christ for two years before he received his minister’s license January 27th. 1973, and was finally ordained in 1975.  Rev. Martin also attended World Evangelism School of Ministry with Dr. Morris Cerullo of I Care Ministries in San Diego, California.  He has served with several different ministries over the years, serving in just about every capacity a man can serve, from usher to choir member, from janitor to elder.  He also has served as Assistant Pastor at Church of God in Christ, Assistant Pastor at Emmanuel Temple, and Co-pastor of Living Faith Tabernacle.  On top of all this, Rev. Martin also served as a caseworker and provided crisis counseling for several years at St. Elizabeth Catholic Community Center.

Since he has been in the ministry, Rev. Martin has been used of the Lord in many different ways.  He has counseled individuals and couples.  He visits and prays for the sick, laying on hands according to James 5:14-16.  Rev. Martin has also been called to speak at numerous churches on various topics.  He preaches and teaches the Word of God under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  He preaches a practical message which the congregation can really absorb and use in their lives.  He preaches faith, and that “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” –James 5:16.  And he flows strongly in the gift of prophecy according to Jeremiah 28:9.  And the words he speaks do come to pass.
